Chelsea and Ajax far apart in their valuation for Hakim Ziyech

Hakim Ziyech is yet to start a league game this season.

As per the reports from the European Lad, via Mike Verweij of Dutch outlet Telegraaf (h/t Football.London), negotiations between Chelsea and Ajax have hit a roadblock as they are far apart in valuation for Hakim Ziyech.

The 29-year-old used to play for the Dutch club before arriving at Chelsea in 2020. He is valued at around €44m at Stamford Bridge. Ajax is unwilling to pay that amount, hence the deal is far from being on the table, if not totally ruled out by now.

If this move doesn’t happen, Ajax’s willingness to let go of Antony to Manchester United would become way less than before.

Meanwhile, the Blues winger has been linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer. Their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are targeting him in the summer.

The 29-year-old winger is yet to start a league game this season. Hakim Ziyech is struggling to perform on a consistent basis under Thomas Tuchel. However, the Blues can keep him for this season despite having Sterling in the attack.
