Jorgensen signed a new five-year deal with Villarreal last month.
Chelsea has agreed to sign a deal with Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen. The West London club have experienced a busy transfer window. They are ready to invest a good amount of money ahead of the new season.
Enzo Maresca is focusing on the young squad. Chelsea have already sold Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson, while Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Hakim Ziyech.
The Blues have also made several additions to their squad, having recruited Tosin Adarabioyo, Caleb Wiley, Renato Veiga, Omari Kellyman, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Marc Guiu.
The West London club are keen to strengthen in a number of areas ahead of the 2024-25 season, including in the goalkeeper department.
As per the fresh report, the Blues were in negotiations with Villarreal over a transfer for the highly-rated Jorgensen. As per the Athletic, Chelsea have reached an agreement over a €24.5million deal to prise Jorgensen away from the Spanish club.
The 22-year-old signed a new five-year deal with Villarreal last month. He is now expected to sign a long-term contract with the Blues which will run until the summer of 2031.
