Chelsea Actively Looking At Kai Havertz Next After Timo Werner Deal

The deal for Timo Werner has been done on principle but Chelsea are not done scouting out talent from the Bundesliga.

Now, they want to get their hands on the highly-coveted Kai Havertz while other Premier League sides struggle to sign anyone.

Sky Sports reports that Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Chelsea are after the 20-year-old playmaker from Bayer Leverkusen. Blues owner, Roman Abramovich is prepared to support Frank Lampard in the transfer market this summer after a season of practically no signings.

Lampard seems to be setting up his squad just the way he likes with deals for Hakim Ziyech and Werner already completed. He wants to stack up the attack with more promising names and Havertz definitely fits the bill. He is young, exciting and one of the best attacking midfielders out there.

Chelsea have been looking at players to fill up behind the lone striker, drawing strong links to Philippe Coutinho previously. However, signing the Brazilian would be difficult at this point and rather expensive. Havertz, by no means, is expected to arrive for cheap but his potential could pay off in the years to come.

Havertz has been capped seven times by his country and registered 15 goals and 8 assists in 38 appearances this season. He is very quickly becoming a player who could command a record transfer fee based on his talent and future promise.
