Chelsea ace Callum Hudson-Odoi is undergoing personal fitness training ahead of the preseason.

According to The Sun, Hudson-Odoi is being put through his paces in ‘brutal’ solo training sessions at their Cobham base in a bid to return to fitness for the start of pre-season.

The 21-year-old has not been featured for the club since March 2, when Chelsea defeated Luton Town in an FA Cup tie. The England international played just 62 minutes that day and has struggled with an Achilles problem in recent years.

But now Odoi is nearing a return to full fitness and has undergone intense training sessions by himself in a bid to make the club’s pre-season tour of the United States next month.

The Chelsea ace has been battling his Achilles injury over the last three years and is believed to have suffered repeated setbacks in his rehabilitation to full fitness.
