Callum Hudson-Odoi grabs praise for impressive performance against Spurs

Callum Hudson-Odoi has disappointed a little in some of his recent starts, but he had taken the pitch by storm in his performance against Spurs. The crowds appreciated him and so did his boss.

After Chelsea’s win over Spurs, Thomas Tuchel was asked about the opening goal, scored by Hakim Ziyech and the boss gave credit to Hudson-Odoi’s contribution in driving the ball forward and then switching play.

Tuchel often loses his head at Callum from the side-lines, and clearly he wants to balance that with some praise for when he does well.

It wasn’t his most glamorous performance, but maybe that’s what Thomas Tuchel is looking for right now. He ran tirelessly up and down the left flank, ensuring Malang Sarr’s safety while also rushing with the ball to threaten Japhet Tanganga.

He also had an assist at the conclusion of the game when one of his signature right-footed square passes in off the left found Hakim Ziyech, who moved inside and struck a superb shot.

We ought to be convinced that Thomas Tuchel was impressed as well, and if Chelsea  remain with a back four, CHO may have even more chances.
