Following an agreement with Burnley, a recently promoted Premier League team, Armando Broja is close to departing Chelsea. In an effort to strengthen their center-forward position and provide Nicolas Jackson with competition, Chelsea has been active in the transfer market this summer, acquiring Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

Early in the summer, departures were decided. Joao Felix departed for Al-Nassr after he was overutilized. While Christopher Nkunku is anticipated to go permanently, Marc Guiu has agreed to a loan agreement to join Sunderland.

During the previous season, Broja played 10 Premier League games for Everton while on loan. Injuries have plagued the 23-year-old’s Chelsea tenure. After spending the 2021–2022 season on loan at Southampton, the Albanian came back full of potential. However, in December 2022, Broja sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during a friendly match against Aston Villa.

In December 2023, Broja told Chelsea’s home media, “It was a big point in my life, something to deal with personally and mentally.” “It altered the way I thought about handling situations and my mental state.

Broja has thus been forced to look for a new team that would allow him to play regular football at a high level. As reported by writer Fabrice Hawkins, the 23-year-old is currently close to finalizing a transfer to Burnley, who were just promoted.

A permanent transfer deal has been agreed between the Clarets and Chelsea, and the striker will sign a long-term contract. Before his planned transfer, Broja has already been granted permission to go to Burnley and finish the first portion of his physical.

Three goals in 38 first-team games will be the Chelsea youth product’s departure from Stamford Bridge. Broja’s tenure at Chelsea is now nearing the end. Burnley has reached a permanent agreement with the Blues to sign the forward, according to Fabrice Hawkins.

In order to finalize his transfer to Turf Moor, Broja has already traveled to have a physical and decided to join the Clarets. He and Burnley are expected to sign a five-year contract.
