Moises Caicedo could leave Brighton before the deadline day.

The 21-year-old midfielder decided to leave Brighton before the transfer deadline day on Tuesday.

He is one of the sought-after midfielders in the Premier League and got two offers from Arsenal that were immediately rejected by the Seagulls.

The Seagulls value the midfielder in excess of £90m which is £20m more than Arsenal’s latest bid.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal are considering making a club-record bid for the midfielder before the deadline day.

Chelsea can be considered a strong suitor for the Ecuadorian international as Potter can reunite with his former player at Brighton.

Manager Robert de Zerbi has not yet ruled out the possibility of Caicedo leaving this January.

‘Moises is a good guy, we will see tomorrow and the next days what happens,’ De Zerbi told ITV.

‘We hope he will stay with us until the end of the season but this is a question for the club and Moises.

‘I think in life you can make mistakes. For every one there are many solutions and we will see the best solution for the club and for him and for us.’
