Boost for Chelsea in their pursuit of Wilfried Zaha

Manchester City and Liverpool are also interested in the winger

Chelsea are expected to add reinforcements in key areas this summer after a difficult Premier League campaign this season. They are currently at 5th position and are battling to finish in top 4 to ensure Champions League qualification next season.

The Blue’s priority is to overhaul their backline but are also looking to bolster their attacking options as Eden Hazard and Willian have been linked with a summer exit.

They have shown interest in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha. Since moving back to Eagles from Manchester United in 2015, he has been their main man and has established himself as one of the best forwards in the League.

The 25 year old has been a regular this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in the Premier League. His form this season in getting Palace towards safety has earned attention from the Premier League giant.

The Ivory Coast International has handed Chelsea a huge boost in their pursuit of the him. According to the Sun on Sunday, Zaha is ready to leave Selhurst Park in a £50 million deal in order to prove himself at the top level once again.

He has insisted that he is not put off a big move after a disappointing spell at Manchester United when David Moyes was manager.

He said: “If I get the opportunity to move away eventually, that will not scare me, what happened in the past.”

Liverpool and Manchester City are also keeping tabs on him. One of the reason why top Premier League clubs are interested in him is due to that he will be counted as a homegrown player.
