Kai Havertz has been compared to Chelsea legend Eden Hazard.

The German playmaker joined the Blues last summer from Bayer Leverkusen and initially struggled to find his way at the club.

Chelsea has won their opening two games of the Premier League season by beating Crystal Palace 3-0.

They played against Arsenal in their last game where Kai Havertz was impressive who hunted the ball down in most attacking areas and made Arsenal defenders Rob Holding and Pablo Mari struggle with his off-the-ball movement.

Former Man United defender Gary Neville compares Kai Havertz to Hazard’s career at Stamford Bridge.

“I actually think Havertz has gone up a level but he is in third gear. He could go to fourth gear and to fifth gear. He could become an absolutely great player,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“When he really fills out, and he will do, he is already a great runner with the ball, but he will get more confidence, more belief and in a couple of years he could be someone who is absolutely there.”

“Remember what Chelsea did with Eden Hazard. He went from here, to here, to here. I think that’s what Havertz will do.”
