According to reports, during the summer transfer window, Bayern Munich would try to acquire Malo Gusto and Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea for a total of €100 million.
Bayern Munich is reportedly interested in Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto, according to a report by the Spanish publication Fichajes. In the summer transfer window, the Bundesliga champions hope to bolster their first-team roster by adding a right-back and a flexible attacker. The Bavarian club has taken notice of the Chelsea pair and is prepared to pay €100 million to acquire them.
Since making the much anticipated move from RB Leipzig to Chelsea in July 2023, Christopher Nkunku has run across a roadblock. In his first season, the 27-year-old struggled with fitness, and during the 2024–2025 season, he was in and out of the starting lineup. He did, however, produce last term.
In 47 games across all competitions, Nkunku scored 15 goals and provided five assists, totaling 20 goals in 2,314 minutes of playing time. Malo Gusto, on the other hand, has fluctuated in the starting lineup since moving from Lyon to Chelsea in January 2023.
Bayern Munich plot mind-blowing double Chelsea raid
Reliable reporter Florian Plettenberg claims that Bayern is closely monitoring Nkunku, but a possible transfer is contingent upon their other summer transfer transactions.
Plettenberg wrote on X, “FC Bayern is still keeping an eye on Christopher Nkunku’s situation and waiting for market opportunities.” Nothing progressed. No deals. There has been no change. Bayern’s entering and exiting transfer market decisions will determine the direction of future endeavors.
Nkunku wants to leave Chelsea, Bayern is interested, and the Blues want £50 million, but the German powerhouses think they may acquire him for less, according to TEAMtalk transfer writer Fraser Fletcher’s June 11 report.
But he’s not the only Chelsea star they have their eye on. Vincent Kompany’s Bayern has also made Malo Gusto of Chelsea a target as he seeks to expand his alternatives at right back.
Gusto and Nkunku are two players to closely monitor, although Chelsea is negotiating hard with both of them despite Bayern’s desire.
