Chelsea FC 3rd most expensive signings: Mykhailo Mudryk

Mykhailo Mudryk may be available for a January transfer window if Chelsea is prepared to let go of the Ukrainian winger, with Bayern Munich and Olympique Marseille allegedly examining the prospect of signing him. Chelsea, who paid a hefty fee to acquire Mudryk less than two years ago, has seen its tolerance for his subpar play wear thin. This could lead to Mudryk’s departure via loan or transfer.

Despite having great expectations going into Chelsea, Mudryk hasn’t been able to hold down a starting position in the lineup. The Ukrainian’s prominence in the starting eleven has diminished due to his inconsistent performances and the decisions made by coach Enzo Maresca.

Bayern Munich, Marseille eyeing Mykhailo Mudryk swoop

It was anticipated that Mykhailo Mudryk would be a significant addition to Chelsea that would help them reach new heights. In January 2023, the Blues overcame Arsenal’s challenge by spending little over £88 million, including add-ons, for the Ukrainian winger. If Chelsea receives a good offer, they might let Mudryk go in January, but there’s little chance it will be a permanent transfer.

They might therefore see a loan agreement as appropriate in certain situations, and if the player’s playing time decreases, he may also think about leaving. While Chelsea is unlikely to recoup the majority of the £88 million plus they spent on Mudryk eighteen months ago, they could be able to salvage part of his worth through a loan arrangement.
