The German forward is on the transfer shortlist of Barcelona.
Barcelona are reportedly considering a loan swoop for Chelsea forward and German star Timo Werner. Xavi Hernandez secured a budget for the next transfer and he looks to boost his forward line in January.
Xavi Hernandez has got an opportunity since the departure of Ronald Koeman, who was sacked last month. Barcelona are currently struggling in La Liga and they occupy the ninth position in La Liga. Their Champions League campaign is also in danger.
According to Marca, Chelsea’s Timo Werner is on the transfer shortlist of Barcelona. The 25-year-old German has failed to gain attention at Stamford Bridge since his arrival under Tuchel. He has scored 14 goals in 62 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea. He has played just 388 minutes in the league this campaign, scoring just one goal in the process.
The Germany international is not the first-choice striker at Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel anymore. Timo Werner would be a good option at Barca.
