Aubameyang looks set to depart from Stamford Bridge this month

Aubameyang’s playing time at Stamford Bridge has been irregular under Graham Potter.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang may leave Chelsea this year and the reports are saying that Atletico Madrid can call him to make another trip to Spain.

Former Gabon international can depart this month. He joined Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2022.

He was brought by former Chelsea head Thoams Tuchel but we know he was sacked just after the signing. Chelsea lost in the group stage game in the Champions League and Tuchel was sacked on the same day. Brighton head Graham Potter took charge of the club.

Aubameyang’s playing time at Stamford Bridge has been irregular under the new head coach. He has made 16 appearances in all competitions, scoring just three times. Meanwhile, he was outstanding for Barcelona but he couldn’t replicate the same in the Blues outfit.

His future is pretty uncertain. The former Barca man was left out of the squad for Chelsea’s FA Cup defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

The Portuguese international is joining Aubameyang’s current club on a loan deal until the end of the season. Chelsea are still short on strikers, so a deal for Atletico to sign Aubameyang may be difficult at the moment.
