Atletico Madrid are interested in Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson

The Chelsea offensive combo is expected to leave; therefore, Atletico Madrid may want to get Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson.

Following a slew of new players, Fichajes believes Atletico Madrid could exploit Chelsea’s need to reduce their roster. The attacking pair of Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson are highly sought after by Diego Simeone’s team because the Argentine manager sees them as valuable front-line reinforcements.

A number of clubs are already attentively examining the circumstances around a few key Chelsea players following a wave of new arrivals this summer. This time, the Blues have stuck to their tried-and-true strategy of upgrading and reworking parts of their team because they are concentrating on their attacking setup.

Chelsea’s early arrival of Liam Delap signaled the start of what might turn out to be an excellent summer window thus far. The club has reached an agreement to sign Jamie Gittens, and they recently revealed that they had signed Brighton’s Joao Pedro for a reported £60 million plus add-ons.

Atletico showing interest in Blues duo on exit ramp

The La Liga powerhouses reportedly want both Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke. In recent weeks, there has been an increase in speculation about the two players, who are reportedly battling for their careers. Jackson is no longer considered a first choice after being sent off in two of his past four games, despite having made 80 appearances and producing 30 goals and 12 assists.

Given that Julian Alvarez is a sure starter, Jackson is reportedly seen as an alternative to Alexander Sorloth, with the two potentially vying for a spot. Simeone’s 4-4-2 formation raises more questions about Madueke’s potential usage. It seems doubtful whether Madueke would be considered for a more significant position in a defensively oriented unit.

Atletico appears optimistic that agreements can be reached for Madueke at €30 million (£25.85 million) and Jackson at €50 million (£43.09 million). Although Chelsea might take such offers into consideration for Jackson, Madueke should likely fetch a greater price given that Chelsea paid £28.5 million for him in January 2023.
