N’Golo Kante is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

The 32-year-old midfielder will be out of contract by the end of the season and Chelsea are trying to convince the Frenchman to extend his stay.

Kante has spent most of the season out with a severe hamstring injury and he has been allowed to speak to interested parties since January.

According to French outlet Le Parisien, Arsenal were interested in the World Cup winner at first before they made a move for Jorginho in the January window.

Kante is keen to sign a three-year deal with the Blues and a breakthrough is in talks although PSG are keeping a close eye on further developments.

Kante has missed much of the season with a hamstring injury and only returned to action at the start of this month.

The source said: “N’Golo would like to continue his career in London, where he has his habits. He liked working with Antonio Conte, but he has been sacked by Tottenham.

“Arsenal also made an enquiry… I think he will extend his deal at Chelsea before going to the Middle-East in two or three years.”
