Chelsea not discussing Conor Gallagher as part of a potential swap deal

Chelsea’s highly promising Brazilian youth international, Andrey Santos, could be on the move this summer as interest intensifies from Arsenal and Paris Saint‑Germain.

Arsenal & PSG Intensify Interest in Chelsea’s Rising Star Andrey Santos

The 21‑year‑old, who arrived from Vasco da Gama in January 2023, has emerged as one of the club’s brightest young stars following a stellar loan spell at Strasbourg.

Santos was exceptional in Ligue 1, delivering 10 goals and contributing key assists while also showing leadership as Strasbourg’s captain under Liam Rosenior.

That form propelled him to senior Brazil squad recognition and drew attention from several elite clubs in Europe, including PSG, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle, Juventus, Inter Milan and Atlético Madrid.

Back at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has acknowledged Santos as part of his midfield plan during preseason and the Club World Cup, but the youngster still faces huge competition from Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Romeo Lavia for a regular role.

The plot thickens as transfer speculation mounts. Arsenal have reportedly tabled bids in the region of €45‑50 million, with PSG and Bayern also in the race.

Chelsea, valuing him between €50‑60 million, appear ready to cash in—but only for the right fee.

Santos himself is maintaining a measured attitude. He’s yet to receive direct contact from Chelsea over his future and remains focused on finishing the season strong at Strasbourg.

“It’s in Chelsea’s hands… When the season ends, we’ll see what happens,” he told ESPN in June.

As the transfer window swings open, Santos’s future is one to watch. Will he stick around to fight for a breakthrough under Maresca? Or will he chase a starting role elsewhere—perhaps in north London or Paris?
