This summer, Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia hopes to sign N’Golo Kante from Chelsea

When the Frenchman’s contract ends in June, they want to sign him for nothing. He has six months left on his contract with Chelsea and is free to begin negotiations with other clubs in January.

It appears unlikely that Kante will extend his contract with Chelsea. Due to Kante’s fitness concerns, the club has been refusing to sign a new deal. He declined the offer to sign a shorter deal than the one he already has. Barcelona and Juventus, who want to sign Kante for nothing, are interested in doing so.

Barcelona used the open market for free agents last summer and may use it again this year. The box-to-box phenom might provide Juventus with the physical profile they need in the middle of the field to add some grit.

Al-Nassr has also entered the negotiations for the former midfielder for Leicester City. Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of signing a lucrative contract with the top-flight Saudi team. Following the acquisition of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, they want to exert pressure to sign Kante, who will be released from Chelsea’s £350,000-per-year deal.

The injury that has bothered Kante since October 2022 relapsed. In the matchup between his team and Tottenham Hotspurs, the player was carried off on a stretcher.
