According to reports from Calciomercato, AC Milan are keen to sign Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas for the price of €10 million. Fabregas has fallen down the pecking order under Maurizio Sarri this season.

The Spaniard has made only 11 appearances this season, scoring a goal and providing two assists. He has made only one start in the Premier League for Chelsea so far.

Given the amount of quality present in Chelsea’s midfield, it is highly unlikely that Fabregas will make more starts for the club this season.

Fabregas’ current contract at Chelsea expires this summer. A number of AC Milan’s midfielders are injured and they want to sign Fabregas. The Rossoneri have shown interest in Fabregas for a while and are eager to rope him in for €10 million in January.

When Fabregas’ deal expires, Chelsea will let him go for free. Hence, they would prefer to sell him in the winter so that they can make some money out of it.

Provided Fabregas does join AC Milan, his experience will be a massive advantage for the club.
