Sarri wanrns Chelsea season could still be a disaster

Since the turbulent first few matches in February when Chelsea lost everything they touched, the Blues have improved.

They had conceded 10 goals in two away league games back to back without reply and had been knocked out of the FA Cup at home. However, since then they have got their act together and are now in a fine run of form. In their last 5 matches, they have won four and conceded only one goal, a record Sarri is proud of. However, he has also asked his player to be cautious as he maintains that without consistency, an impending disaster is coming.

“In five matches, we conceded only one goal. So we are improving in consistency,” said Sarri. “But we have to be careful. We had a long period of good results in the past and then, suddenly, two weeks of disaster. So we have to be careful.”

“As you know, for me, it was really very important the performance in the final against Manchester City,” continued Sarri. “Two weeks before that match we lost 6-0 in Manchester. A fortnight later, the players were able to play at the same level as them, so that was important for our confidence.”
