Eintracht Frankfurt director Fredi Bobic has rubbished rumours that Chelsea have made a move for his striker Luka Jovic.

The young striker has been playing extremely well in Germany this season and Bild reported a few days back that Chelsea could be making a play for the striker. However, this report is not true according to the striker’s club director.

“So far, this is just typical leaves rustling with zero content. It did not scare me, but it surprised me, first it was Barcelona, then it was Real Madrid, now Chelsea, who’s tomorrow, Juve, the day after tomorrow, someone else, that was a bit too much.”

Chelsea need a new striker, it is now common fact. There three first team strikers are out on loan in Europe with the fourth one now only good enough to fill in the bench role. They are so desperate that they bought in Sarri’s old student and 31-year old Gonzalo Higuain on loan for the remainder of the season.

However, he is not a long-term solution and the Chelsea hierarchy will want solutions given their abysmal track record with strikers barring Didier Drogba.
