Fabregas defends unfair criticism of Chelsea
Cesc Fabregas' Monaco Move On Hold As Chelsea Searching Replacement

Cesc Fabregas’ much anticipated move to Monaco has been put on hold as Chelsea continue their search for a replacement of the outgoing midfielder.

Fabregas has agreed on terms with his new club and is likely to sign a three year deal with the French side. Thiery Henry who happens to be the manager of Monaco played a pivotal part in convincing the Spanish midfielder to try his hand in the Ligue 1.

Maurizio Sarri has already stated he would be needed an immediate replacement if Fabregas is to leave the Stamford Bridge as the manager feels he doesn’t have enough midfielders in his hand to compete with the other teams.

Chelsea are believed to be very close to complete a deal for Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella. The Italian club have asked for a sum of ÂŁ45m but the Blues are unlikely to spend that amount on a young player.

Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes is also an option. The former AS Roma midfielder is regarded as one of the most combative midfielders and could soon be seen in the Premier League.

If Fabregas doesn’t get the approval Chelsea will be deprived of a transfer fee as the former Arsenal and Barcelona playmaker would sign for Monaco on a free transfer.
