In a major twist of tales Chelsea youngster, Callum Hudson-Odoi is on the verge of penning a new long term contract at the club, according to reports.

The winger has been severely linked with a move to Bayern Munich as the German club has seen their three bids being rejected by the West London club in a bid to keep their prized asset at the club.

The youngster played a big part in the preseason this term and had high hopes of getting regular game time under the new manager. But so far Maurizio Sarri has given the wide player very little chance to prove his worth.

Manchester City winger Jadon Sancho and Arsenal player Reiss Nelson have been hugely successful for their respective clubs in the Bundesliga and it seemed Hudson-Odoi would follow their suit.

But according to a Sky Sports report, Chelsea have changed their stance and are ready to offer the player a new long term contract. Sky reporter Dharmesh Sheth said, “We’re told Bayern Munich are still awaiting a response from their latest bid worth more than £30m.

“RB Leipzig remain interested and would comply with the buyback clause Chelsea want.

“Hudson-Odoi’s preferred destination is Bayern.

“But another source has told me not to rule out the player signing a new contract at Chelsea.

“His current deal has 18 months to run.”
