Respectful transfer journalist, Tancredi Palmeri claims that Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata has begun talks with Sevilla for a switch but the Blues are unwilling to let go of the forward before bringing in a replacement.

Maurizio Sarri is keen on signing Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain who is one of the most lethal forwards in all of Europe. The 31-year-old has struck the back of the net 324 times in 519 games in his career, 183 of those goals scored in 264 matches for the Ligue 1 champions.

He has also managed 46 goals in 109 caps for the Uruguay senior national team.

Chelsea have just finalised the transfer of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund who will join Sarri’s camp next summer. With Michy Batshuayi loaned out to Valencia, Olivier Giroud injured at the moment and Morata struggling in front of goal, the West London club badly need a number nine to start chipping in goals on a regular basis.

The Blues have the worst goals tally among the top six of the Premier League but remarkably have still maintained their spot in the top four with both Arsenal and Manchester United struggling defensively.

They are also keeping tabs on £45m-rated Nicolo Barella as a replacement for the departing Cesc Fabregas.
