Cesc Fabregas. The pass master. The Spanish legend is ready to bid farewell to English football.

The former Barcelona and Arsenal star has made 500 appearances in English football and has impacted the game in England in perhaps a way so unique that the world is yet to find the next Fabregas.

There have been many excellent playmakers to grace the English game including the likes of David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne. However, Fabregas stands out in the game for his ability to create from deeper midfield.

He is an essential number 6 with the ability to pick out extremely accurate long balls, split the defence with a 40 yard ground pass or play it short to draw out the opposition.

Add to this the ability to have the vision to orchestrate every single attack for his team week in, week out and Cesc had found a new way to conquer the fast-paced, physical game of English football without having speed or physicality.

The Spaniard has won multiple trophies in English football and has a better assist to matches ratio (for players with over 100 assists) than anyone beating the likes of Lampard and Giggs to the bell.

He truly is a Premier League legend.
