FIFA World Cup winner Olivier Giroud has expressed his final football dream is to win the English Premier League title with Chelsea.

The French forward came to England by signing for Arsenal but never secured a league title under Arsene Wenger. He joined Chelsea last winter for a £18 million deal and since then has already bagged the FA Cup for Chelsea before winning the FIFA World Cup with France in the summer.

The 32-year old striker has now spoken out why he would prefer to stay at Chelsea. ‘I prefer to be at a big club rather than playing every week in a less prestigious team and I still have targets’, he told The Guardian.

‘To win a Premier League is my last dream as a footballer, maybe more than winning a Champions League, because I know how tough it is to win this league. I have team-mates here who have won it, so I’m a bit jealous. I want to make it happen.’

‘Look, I know we lost at Wolves but we beat Manchester City, so don’t count on me to give up on that dream just yet. I don’t want to end with any regrets.’

Let’s hope Giroud puts his words to good use by scoring more frequently for Chelsea to mount a title challenge.
