Chelsea are reportedly in on the chase for Paris Saint Germain forward Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan forward recently became the leading goal scorer for Paris Saint Germain but Neymar’s growing influence at the club could mean that Cavani could be on his way out of the club.

The forward has a deal that runs till 2020 at Paris but he is already 31 and a move now is likely to be his last big transfer. Cavani has previously been linked with Chelsea ever since his Napoli days but a move for the player never materialized.

Chelsea are likely to face competition from Cavani’s former employee Napoli and Atletico Madrid but it has been reported that both the clubs are unlikely to pay more than £36 million to secure his services.

It has also been reported that Cavani is valued at £45 million and this might help Chelsea skip ahead in the race to sign the Uruguayan. Chelsea have had problems of their own in the frontline with both Morata and Giroud failing to convince Sarri of a starting berth.

For Chelsea fans, the introduction of Cavani in an attacking trio alongside Hazard and Willian definitely prove to be a relishing prospect and they will be hoping the club forks out the big bucks to bring in the PSG forward.
