Jody Morris reveals who is Chelsea's most gifted ever player

He has been very impressive this season

Eden Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in the summer of 2012 and is one of the club’s undisputed stars. He is considered as one of the best players in the world after performing at the highest level over the past few seasons.

The Belgium International has scored 104 goals for the English side in 307 appearances. He has claimed two Premier League titles during his time in west London, along with FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League triumphs.

He had an impressive World Cup this campaign as he helped Belgium to reach the semi-finals and has made a stellar start to the new campaign.

The 27 year old has featured in all the Premier League fixtures so far this season for the Blues, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists. He scored an impressive hat-trick against Cardiff City and is the current leading scorer in the league alongside Aleksandr Mitrovic.

The winger was again in fine form for the London Outfit against Liverpool in the third round of Carabao Cup on Wednesday as he scored a stunning solo goal to win the match after coming on as a substitute.

The player has been heavily praised by club’s new manager Maurizio Sarri. The Italian claimed that he might be the best player in Europe and has the potential to score 40 goals this season.

Former Chelsea star Jody Morris believes Hazard is the club’s most gifted ever player after a brilliant start to the new campaign.

Speaking to Sky Sports after Wednesday’s win at Anfield, Morris said as quoted by The Sport Review: “I think he’s probably the most gifted player to ever play for Chelsea. He wins games on his own.

“I think he has won more games than Zola did and he has scored some outrageous goals. Look at what he’s won at the club in terms of leagues and with teams that weren’t really up there with previous Chelsea teams, but with him in your team.

“For me, Eden Hazard is the most gifted. Whether he is the best, I don’t know. I think Frank Lampard and John Terry are pretty difficult to bypass.”
