Former Chelsea captain makes huge claim about Eden Hazard

The Belgian has been very impressive this season

Eden Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in the summer of 2012 and is one of the club’s undisputed stars. He is considered as one of the best players in the world after performing at the highest level over the past few seasons.

The Belgium International has scored 103 goals for the English side in 305 appearances. He has claimed two Premier League titles during his time in west London, along with FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League triumphs.

He had an impressive World Cup this campaign as he helped Belgium to reach the semi-finals and has made a stellar start to the new campaign.

The 27 year old has featured in all the Premier League fixtures so far this season for the Blues, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists. He scored an impressive hat-trick against Cardiff City and is the current leading scorer in the league alongside Aleksandr Mitrovic.

The Winger has been heavily praised by his club’s new manager Maurizio Sarri who claimed that he might be the best player in Europe. He even insisted that the player has the potential to score 40 goals this campaign.

The Belgian was named in the FIFPro team of the year, beating the likes of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.

Former Chelsea captain John Terry feels Hazard deserves comparison with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. He has also backed the player to continue his impressive form.

“A couple of people recently are coming out and saying he’s not kind of the finished article,” the ex-England skipper, who played with Hazard for five years at Stamford Bridge, told AS .

“But believe me he really is and he’s up there with Messi and Ronaldo without a shadow of a doubt.

“I’ve seen him day in, day out for the last five/six years and he’s a top, top player and he will only get better as well.”
