The player was heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain

France international N’Golo Kante has made the decision to remain at Chelsea for the coming season, reports Le10Sport.

The Blues signed the midfielder from Leicester City for a reported fee of £32 million, signing a 5 year contract in the summer of 2016. He won the Premier League with the Foxes in the 2015-2016 campaign, before moving to Stamford Bridge.

The Frenchman settled very quickly for the London outfit and established himself as an integral part of the team. He helped the team to win the Premier League and was named the PFA Player of the Year during his debut campaign with them.

The 27 year old was one of the stand out players for the club last season as they finished outside the top 4, resulting in missing Champions League football this season. He helped them to win the FA Cup final against Manchester United back in May.

France lifted the World Cup trophy after 20 years and the midfielder was pivotal for Les Bleus in their journey of the becoming the champions.

His impressive performances over the past few season has attracted attention from host of European clubs. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain were especially interested in signing him and have been linked with a move throughout the summer transfer window.

However, the player leaving England was getting bleak day by day since the Premier League transfer window closed. And now they have dealt blow in their pursuit of him as the player has decided to stay with the club.

It has been a great past few days for the London outfit as they have also managed to keep hold their main man Eden Hazard as the he snubbed the chance to join the Champions League winner. They have also won their first two Premier League fixtures.

Kante once again has been very impressive as he scored the club’s first goal of the season and is enjoying his new more attacking role under Maurizio Sarri.
