Ruben Loftus-Cheek Believes Winning The Europa League Title Will Turn Chelsea's Season Into A Successful One

The player has been again linked with a loan move

Roben Loftus-Cheek came through the ranks of Chelsea and made his senior debut for the club in 2014. The classy midfielder is held in high regard by those in west London.

The 22 year old couldn’t establish himself as a regular for the Blues at the path was blocked by big money signings. He just made 32 appearances for the club before joining Crystal Palace on a season long loan last summer in order to get more first team football.

Despite struggling with injuries, the midfielder was impressive with his performances for the Eagles, score two goals and assisted three in 24 appearances. He has shown what he is capable of when given regular game time, with senior international recognition coming his way with England

He has been selected in the World Cup squad and made a dream full debut in the 6-1 Group G thrashing of Panama on Sunday, which enhanced his reputation even further. He provided an assist to Harry Kane which secured his hat-trick.

England made it to the semi-finals but were defeated by Croatia. They also lost against Belgium in the third place face off and finished fourth in the tournament.

His future has been uncertain whether he is in the plans of new manager Maurizio Sarri, with the arrival of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic he could fall further behind the pecking order. They already have N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Ross Barkley, Danny Drinkwater and Tiemoue Bakayoko fighting for a place in the starting XI.

However, Bakayoko has already joined AC Milan on a season long loan and Drinkwater is also tipped to leave as the European window still open. This has eased some competition in the midfield.

The England International came on as a substitute against Huddersfield in Club’s Premier League opener, replacing Barkley.

The Telegraph report that Chelsea are keen to give Loftus-Cheek the opportunity to force his way into Sarri’s first-team plans.
