Chelsea ace hoping Eden Hazard will stay at Stamford Bridge

The Belgium International has been been linked with an exit

Eden Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in the summer of 2012 and is one of the club’s undisputed stars. He is considered as one of the best players in the world after performing at the highest level over the past few seasons.

The winger has scored 98 goals for the English side in 300 appearances. He has claimed two Premier League titles during his time in west London, along with FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League triumphs.

Despite Blue’s struggle last season, the Belgium International featured regularly for them and managed to score 17 goals in all competitions. He was very influential against Manchester United in the final of the FA Cup as he scored the winner in the 1-0 win, helping the team to grab their 8th FA Cup title.

Though the Premier League giants finished 5th in the Premier League and missed out on the the Champions League Football for the upcoming season. It’s the second time the club have missed out on a top 4 place in the past 3 years.

The 27 year old has been one of the stand out players in this year’s World Cup, scoring 3 goals and assisting 2. Though Belgium were defeated by France in the semi-finals but they defeated England in the third place play off.

The Belgian has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in the past couple of  transfer windows and with Cristiano Ronaldo leaving them to join Juventus this summer, he has again been linked with a move to the La Liga giant.

However, Hazard has returned to training on Monday after post World Cup holiday and with transfer window closing in few hours, it looks like he is all set to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s new record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga is also hoping that the forward stays with the club.

“I always like to have the best players in my team,” Kepa said at his unveiling as quoted by Goal. “For [Hazard], it is a personal situation but I hope to have the best players around me.”
