Blow for Chelsea in pursuit of Premier League ace

Club will reject all offers for the player amid reports linking Blues

Chelsea are expected to overhaul their side this summer after an underwhelming Premier League and Champions League campaign last season. They finished 5th in the league and will miss the Champions League in the upcoming season.

The Blues appointed Maurizio Sarri as their new manager after sacking Antonio Conte and also completed the signing of midfielder Jorginho from Napoli, the club’s first summer signing.

They have been behind in the transfer window in comparison to other Premiere League clubs but with their managerial situation sorted, they are keen add more players before the transfer window closes.

One of the unexpected areas the English side might have to strengthen is between the sticks as Thibaut Courtois continues to be linked with Real Madrid in this transfer window, as they wants him as a long term successor of Keylor Navas.

The English side have been linked with host of goalkeepers wit the latest one being Everton ace Jordan Pickford. There were speculations that the club have made him their top priority.

The England International joined the Toffees from Sunderland for a reported fee of £30 million, signing a 5 year contract last summer. He made 39 appearances in all competitions and was also club’s Player of the Year last season, in both the awards voted for by fans and his team-mates.

The 24 year old was one of the standout players in this year’s World Cup and helped his nation to reach the semi-finals. He enhanced his reputation as one of the best upcoming goalkeepers.
