Chelsea believes Maurizio Sarri will convince trio to stay at the Club this summer

They all have been linked with summer exit

Chelsea are finally set to appoint Maurizio Sarri as their new manager after they have been in talks with Napoli for a long time. He will replace Antonio Conte, who is all set to leave the club despite his contract expiring next summer.

He is on his way out, after reportedly having agreed a £9 million severance package to remove him from first-team coaching duties.

It is believed that the Italian side’s midfielder Jorginho will follow him to the Stamford Bridge after snubbing the chance to join Manchester City. The Blues are set to pay a combined fee of €58 million plus €7 million in add ons for the pair.

With the Italian set to be appointed, the club are expected to kick start their transfer window after falling behind other Premier League clubs. But the club wants to sort out their players situation first before moving for other targets.

Blues believe the change to Sarri at manager will allow them to keep key players Willian, Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, reports the Sun. They believe he can help mend the dressing room after many senior players grew tired of Conte’s personality.

Hazard joined the English side from Lille in the summer of 2012 and is one of the club’s undisputed stars. He is considered one of the best players in the world after performing at the highest level over the past few seasons.

Despite the club’s struggle last season, the Belgian International was a regular for them and managed to score 17 goals in all competitions. He was very influential against Manchester United in the final of the FA Cup as he scored the winner in the 1-0 win, helping the team to grab their 8th FA Cup title.

He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for a long time and with Cristiano Ronaldo’s surprise summer exit, the Spanish giants could be soon in the market for his replacement.

Willian joined the Premier League giants from Anzhi Makhachkala for a reported fee of £30 million in 2013. The Winger has been one of the most constant players for them in the last three years, scoring 44 goals in 236 for the club since joining them.

The Brazilian was a crucial player for them in both their Premier League winning campaign, 2014/2015 and 2016/2017. He was their stand out player in the 2015/2016 campaign, when the club under performed and finished outside the top 4.

But the Brazil International was frustrated with the lack of regular football last term and admitted to finding life on the bench difficult. He has been heavily linked with a summer exit in recent weeks, with Manchester United and Barcelona showing interest in him.

Courtois returned to England from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2014 after he enjoyed 3 successful seasons on loan in Spain. Since then he has been the mainstay between the sticks and has established himself as one of the best Goalkeepers in the world.

But the 25 year old has been stalling on signing a contract extension at for past couple of months and could leave on a free transfer next year when his contract expires. He has seemingly joined a number of first-team players whose futures are also shrouded in doubt.
