Chelsea wants to sign Inter Milan ace

The Italian side wants Davide Zappacosta plus cash for the player

Chelsea are expected to overhaul their side this summer after an underwhelming Premier League and Champions League campaigns last season. They finished 5th in the league and will miss the Champions League in the upcoming season.

Though Blues ended the campaign on a bright note after defeating Manchester United in the FA Cup final but they are keen to add reinforcements in key areas in order to strengthen the squad for next season.

Maurizio Sarri is expected to replace Antonio Conte ahead of the next season but the club are looking to move ahead in securing new signings as soon as possible.

One of their top priorities is to bolster their midfield in the transfer window as last summer signings Danny Drinkwater and Tiemoue Bakayoko struggled to make an impact last term.

The Premier League giants are interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino. He joined them from Florentina for a reported fee of  €24 million last summer.

The 26 year old produced some hugely impressive displays during his first season with the club. He scored three goals with three assists in 31 Serie A appearances, including the late winner against Lazio that put them in the Champions League.

The midfielder is known for his technique and his highly energetic performances and was praised for his excellent displays.

Inter want Davide Zappacosta plus cash if they are to sell Matias Vecino to Chelsea according to football-italia. Both of them have same representative.

The defender joined the English side from Torino for a reported fee of €28 million plus bonuses, signing a 4 year contract last summer. But he was barely a regular for the club and managed to make only 35 appearances in all competitions.

It has been suggested that the Italian could leave this summer after an underwhelming campaign and could return back to his homeland.

It wouldn’t be a straight swap, as the Nerazzurri rate Vecino as more valuable than former Torino full-back.
