Chelsea star responds to Paris Saint-Germain speculation

N’Golo Kante is currently preparing for the World Cup

Chelsea signed N’Golo Kante from Leicester City for a reported fee of £32 million, signing a 5 year contract in the summer of 2016. The midfielder won the Premier League with The Foxes in the 2015-2016 campaign and was very influential for them, before moving to Stamford Bridge.

The French International settled very quickly for the Blue’s and established himself as an integral part of the team. He helped the team to win the Premier League and was named the PFA Player of the Year in his debut season.

Antonio Conte’s side have finished 5th in the League this term and will miss Champions League next season. Despite that the 27 year old has been one of the standout players and was a key player in the FA Cup final win against Manchester United.

He also won the club’s Player of the Year prize for the 2017/18 campaign.

The midfielder has forged a reputation as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world and has been linked with several European giants ahead of the summer transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain are huge admirer of him and have been linked with a move for him for quite some time, They are keen to sign him this summer and their sporting director Antero Henrique is reported to have met with the Frenchman’s entourage over a potential move this summer.

But the Premier League giants have responded by slapping an £88 million price tag for their star to ward off interest from the club.

Now Kante have responded to the speculations and has hinted that he is happy at the club. Asked about the rumours linking him with a move to the Parc des Princes, He responded as quoted by Metro:

‘I have not been approached specifically by clubs.

‘It’s my agent who manages these things.

‘Today, I’m in Chelsea and I do not worry about what’s going on around it.

‘I’m preparing for the World Cup, I only have that in mind.’
