The Italian tactician Conte has fallen out with Chelsea’s hierarchy on several occasions over the club’s transfer policy, as well as the handling of players within the squad.

Conte is expected to depart Stamford Bridge after Saturday’s FA Cup final against Manchester United.

The Blues have failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League and the Italian looks set to leave just 12 months after winning the Premier League title in his debut EPL season.

Meanwhile Pochettino has three years remaining on his Spurs contract and is planning on having crunch talks with the chief Daniel Levy.
