Chelsea progressed to the quarterfinals of the League Cup on Wednesday night after a 2-1 win over Everton.
After the match Antonio Conte gave a significant injury update on Blues star N’Golo Kante.
Kante has been out of action since the last international break. Kante picked up a thigh injury on French international duty.
After Everton, however, Conte revealed that Kante is close to returning to action. He said:
