Chelsea beat Everton

David Unsworth lost his first game in charge of Everton as their caretaker manager.

But Everton put in a good performance at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night in the League Cup.

Chelsea beat Everton 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

A looping header from Antonio Rudiger gave Chelsea a 26th minute lead, while Willian made sure of the victory with Chelsea’s second in the 90th minute.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a late consolation for Everton in injury time.

While Chelsea fans were largely pleased after reaching the quarterfinals of the cup, they did have one issue to rage about.

During the match, Everton’s Kevin Mirallas was accused of stamping on Cesc Fabregas.

There was no doubt that Mirallas’s studs landed on Cesc’s torso. However was there any intent from the Belgian international?

The Mirallas stamp looked accidental, however that didn’t stop Chelsea fans taking to social media to call for action against the Everton star.
