Chelsea fans have one player to thank for their win over Everton in the Carabao Cup after an incredible performance that saved them.
The game looked to have been won by the club in the first half with the Toffees putting up little fight against the onslaught.
The London side took the lead through Rudiger and there really looked to be no way back for David Unsworth’s tame side.
Though, that all changed in the second half when Everton finally found their rhythm and Chelsea couldn’t match them.
There was one player though, that saved Chelsea from embarrassment and that was Willy Caballero.
The Argentine signed from Manchester City in the summer after he was released from his contract and joined Conte’s side.
Coming in as Asmir Begovic’s replacement, he was not very highly thought of but he saved Chelsea v Everton.
Wayne Rooney initially had the best chance of the game, finding space for a left-footed shot but Caballero stormed out to block the shot.
